Designer
who builds.

I'm Ryan Goodman — an industrial designer with a BFA in Product Design from the Columbus College of Art and Design. My work lives at the intersection of design and making: I sketch ideas, model them in SolidWorks, and build them myself.

From May 2025 to May 2026 I interned at SRICO in Columbus, designing and fabricating enclosures for electronic components — CNC machining, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and KeyShot renderings for marketing, often in the same week. Before that, I collaborated with industry mentors through Form 5 COFAB to design a low-cost prosthetic, iterating functional prototypes to meet real constraints.

At CCAD, I worked across product design, furniture, spatial design, and service research — including a studio service design project with Dress for Success Columbus, mapping the client fitting experience and back-of-house workflow through staff and client interviews. Building fluency with the full design process, not just the pretty renders at the end.

I'm looking for an entry-level role in Columbus, OH where I can keep doing exactly this: designing things that actually get made.
